Here is our first look at the results of the big snowstorm.

(We have since posted a more complete blizzard video.)

This video was taken at about 7:45 this morning from one of our bedroom windows near the intersection of Drexel and Webster, across from Mitchell Elementary School in Racine, Wisconsin.

It’s hard to estimate because of the drifting, but it looks like we got about two feet of snow since the storm began at about 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

The snow stopped falling at around 9 a.m. We’re about to start our snow shoveling. Racine County is under a state of emergency. Interstate 94 is impassable, and pretty much everything is expected to be closed for the day.
