Gary Vaynerchuck talks Twitter on CNN's 'Your $$$$$'

I just saw this via FriendFeed, courtesy of Orli Yakuel.

It’s Gary Vaynerchuck of VaynerMedia, the guy from Wine Library TV, in a video clip from CNN’s Your $$$$$.

I can only take him in small doses because of his hyperactivity, but he does a pretty good job of describing how social media, like Twitter, give everyone a channel to reach any potential audience. “Word of mouth on steroids” is what he calls it.

CNN’s Christine Roman is clearly a Vayniac, and Ali Velshi seems to be won over during the segment. Can you make $70,000 a year talking about The Smurfs? I don’t know — but Gary Vaynerchuck seems to be doing fairly well talking about wine and now social media.

His forthcoming book, available for pre-order at Amazon.com, is called Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion.

He is @garyvee on Twitter.

Great, so Gary Vaynerchuck has now become the social media image of mainstream media? I would have preferred Kevin Rose or Leo Laporte.

I don't think there can be any one face, but he does have a style suited for TV.

ya, but the problem with most mainstream media mega outlets is that they improperly fixate on one face to describe a movement.
