What is it all about?

More posts like this: Hawaii, Internet, books.

I’ve been reading Mark Twain’s Letters from Hawaii, and near the end he describes an ideal sugar mill on Maui. It’s the "Lewers plantation (formerly known as the Waihee plantation)."

A month ago I was on Maui, and I would like to picture the exact area, so I ran a Google search. It showed me that Waihe’e is located on the northeast coast of West Maui, a little northwest of Wailuku. As a matter of fact, Amy and I did a little hiking on the Waihe’e Ridge Trail during the trip, so I remember the landscape pretty clearly.

Now on to the reason for this posting. My search results also included a photo of the Waihe’e shoreline from some page at a Maui real estate site. Scroll down that page to the third item with the orange graphic, to the words "Meet Tess and Bud Burrid at Mewe Creations," and view the Quicktime movie entitled “Tell Me The Story.”

Chicken skin, ain’a?
