Voting day is Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in the USA, and the nonpartisan League of Women Voters has a very helpful website that can show you where to vote, how to register to vote, polling station details, voting eligibility requirements, ID requirements, and much more.

By entering your street address and ZIP code into their Polling Place Finder, you can see not where you vote, but which candidates will appear on your local ballot — and their answers to questions on a variety of key issues. You can even have your choices emailed to you as a handy voting day reference.

For example, if you’re voting in Wisconsin:

• The polls will be open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
• You can can register to vote in person ON Election Day.
• Employers must grant employees up to three successive hours to vote on Election Day while the polls are open. The employee must notify the employer of his/her intended absence. The employer may designate the time of day for the absence.
