Winter storm coming late Monday through Tuesday

So far, this December is shaping up to be a lot like the last one. The National Weather Service in Milwaukee has just issued a Winter Storm Watch for Monday evening and all through Tuesday:

Snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are possible across southern Wisconsin Monday night through Tuesday night as strengthening low pressure passes south of the state. Areas near Lake Michigan and in the far southeast may see amounts limited for a time Monday afternoon into Monday night as warmer air briefly works into those areas.

Until recently, the question of whether we’d have a white Christmas would often be up in the air on December 24. No longer.
